Twentieth-Century Architecture in Florence

In Florence there are only few important examples of XX century architecture. One of them is the so-called Casa Galleria, by Giovanni Michelazzi (1879-1920), with its façade in the Liberty style.

Santa Maria Novella railway station, by Giovanni Michelucci (1891-1990), ended in 1935, and the stadium were built during the Fascism.

Projected by Pier Luigi Nervi (1891-1979) and dedicated to Artemio Franchi in 1991, the stadium of Florence is considered a national monument.
