Villas at the Sea

Description

The casale is located a few kilometres from Lucca historic centre, in Pieve Santo Stefano. Viareggio and the beaches of Versilia are just 25 kilometres away and are easily reached by car, as well as numerous Tuscan cities of art, including Pisa, Livorno, Pistoia and Florence.

The ideal accommodation for those who would like to relax walking and bike-riding in close contact with nature, the casale offers a magnificent view over the valley below and the city walls that surround Lucca.

The casale composes of two buildings divided into three apartments. The buildings are located within an estate of about 40 hectares rich in olive groves and vineyards. In the estate lies also a pond.

A lawn of about 1,000 square metres surrounds the buildings. Here are a wood-burning oven, the barbecue equipment and the private swimming pool (6x12 m; depth: 1.40 m), which lies about 30 metres from the buildings. The partially fenced swimming pool is open from May to October. The pool side is equipped with deck chairs, tables, chairs and sunshades. In the garden there is also the car park.

Cottage Gelsomino has a veranda furnished with table and chairs, and each apartment features a portion of garden furnished for eating al fresco.


Accommodation

The casale composes of three apartments with independent entry and offers 12+4 sleeping accommodations in 3 double-bedded rooms, 2 twin-bedded rooms, 1 extra single bed, 1 double sofa bed and 1 single armchair bed, and 4 bathrooms.

Apartment Calla (6+1 sleeping accommodations - 3 double-bedded rooms and 2 bathrooms) composes of kitchen, small living room, three double-bedded rooms (one of which comes with air conditioning) and two bathrooms with shower.
An extra single bed can be added in one of the bedrooms.

Cottage Gelsomino (4+1 sleeping accommodations - 2 twin-bedded rooms, 1 single armchair bed and 1 bathroom) is a two-storey building.
The ground floor composes of a large living room with fireplace and a single armchair bed, and the kitchenette.
On the first floor are two twin-bedded rooms and a bathroom with bathtub/shower.

Apartment Narciso (2+2 sleeping accommodations - 1 double-bedded room, 1 double sofa bed and 1 bathroom) consists in the kitchen, a small living room with a double sofa bed, a double-bedded room and a bathroom with shower.


Facilities and Services

The casale is provided with swimming pool, barbecue equipment, wood-burning oven, air conditioning in one of the bedrooms, fireplace, TV set, fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher and private car park.
In the laundry room outdoor are the washing machine and the iron.

Guests can buy the olive oil, wine and honey produced in the estate.

Two restaurants are in Pieve Santo Stefano.
Cafés, a newsagent, a supermarket and some petrol stations are in San Alessio, about 5 kilometres from the casale.
All kind of shops and services are in Lucca (7 km).
