Location

The villa is located in proximity to Castiglion Fiorentino, a municipality in the province of Arezzo, in Valdichiana.

Like many Tuscan towns, Castiglion Fiorentino boasts Etruscan origins, as demonstrated by the many archaeological finds that have been unearthed in this area. The toponym Castiglione appeared in written documents no earlier than the 10th century and, due to the historical vicissitudes through which the town has passed, in the course of the centuries it has been followed by the adjectives designating the various towns that dominated the region (Arezzo, Perugia). In 1384, Florence definitively conquered the town, which assumed the name of Castiglion Fiorentino.
Nowadays Castiglion Fiorentino hosts various cultural events, such as the "Palio dei Rioni" and the "Festa medievale biancazzurra", and feasts devoted to local gastronomic specialities.


Description

The luxurious villa is an excellent accommodation for relaxing holidays in the peaceful Tuscan countryside. The windows of the building and the garden afford a gorgeous view of Valdichiana; on clear days, Lake Trasimeno is to be seen in the distance.
Arezzo, Cortona, Montepulciano, Siena, Sansepolcro, Florence and many other Tuscan tourist destinations are within easy driving distance. Sporty guests can visit the riding stable, the tennis club and the golf club just a few kilometres from the property.

In the garden that surrounds the villa lies the private swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.20-2.00 m), which is accessed through some steps or a ramp.

The villa has been renovated with an eye to preserving its original architectural structures, and the rooms furnished in period style feature wooden beams, brick ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors.


Accommodation

The three-storey building can accommodate 18+6 guests in 9 double bedrooms and 6 supplementary single beds, and has 9 bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of kitchen, wide living area, covered veranda, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a half bathroom. On the ground floor is also an area with indoor swimming pool with hydromassage and counter-current swimming system, sauna and a half bathroom.
On the first floor are seven double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.
Another double bedroom with ensuite bathroom is in the mansard.

Six supplementary single beds are supplied upon request.
Three bathrooms are equipped with whirlpool bathtub.
