Visiting the Chianti Region by Camper Coach and Scooter

The Chianti region is easily reached both by private and public transport. However, travelling with your own vehicle will allow you to freely move, at the discovery of the thousands beauties of Chianti... even the most recessed ones!

The Chianti region is a spectacular display of colours. With its vineyards and olive groves, its roads lined with cypress trees, its villas and farmhouses, it offers a myriad of different breathtaking views! Travelling by car along Chianti main roads, such as the famous SS222 (also known as Chiantigiana), as well as secondary and dirt ones, connecting the various towns and villages of the region, will certainly be a pleasant experience. Visiting Chianti by car will be like a travel in the travel!

Camper could be a valid alternative. You could land at Florence airport and then rent a camper. On the Internet you will find plenty of websites offering camper rental services, such as www.ilcerchiofirenze.it/noleggio-camper-firenze.php and www.vacanzaincamper.it/noleggio-camper-empoli.php. After 50 kilometres on the motorway, you will be in Chianti! In the whole region there is plenty of equipped camper areas, including those in Greve, in Via Montebeni, Localitŕ San Michele; in San Casciano Val di Pesa, just a few metres from the historic centre; in Radda; in Castellina, north-east of the town; and in Gaiole. Camper could be the ideal solution for those who want to manage their time as they wish. Just do not flinch in front of the narrow secondary roads of Chianti and pay attention to traffic signs!

If you like the wind in the hair, you could get to Chianti by train arriving at Poggibonsi or Castellina in Chianti (www.ferroviedellostato.com), or by coach - SITA line 365 connects Florence to Greve, Radda, Castellina and Gaiole (www.acvbus.it/index.php?SEZ=9). Then, you could rent a motorcycle, a scooter or, which is even better, a romantic and evergreen "Vespa", which was born in Tuscany in the late 40s. Officina Ramuzzi in Greve (www.ramuzzi.com) and Noleggio Moto Toscana in Pontedera (www.noleggiomototoscana.it) rent Vespas, scooters and motorcycles by day or week. Wandering in the Chianti hills immersed in the wonderful landscape will give you a unique sense of freedom! Are you still at home?
