Location

The villa stands on the hills south of Florence, near Greve in Chianti.

As the name says, Greve in Chianti is a municipality in the Chianti region, between Florence and Siena. Situated at the junction of the roads leading to Valdarno, Val di Greve and Siena, in the Middle Ages Greve in Chianti hosted the most important market of the area, which was held in the beautiful triangular square featuring a statue of the explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano at the centre.

The countryside around Greve in Chianti is scattered with castles - Uzzano, Montefioralle, Verrazzano, Canonica and Mugnana - and medieval churches that house less-renowned but interesting treasures of the Tuscan and Italian art.


Description

The villa is an elegant country house situated in a hamlet that has been transformed into a farm.
A garden with an above-ground swimming pool (8x4 m; depth: 1.25 m) and the barbecue equipment surrounds the building.
The garden is furnished with outdoor table and chairs for dining in the open air.

The villa is just a few kilometres from Florence, whose historic centre, with its famous museums and monuments, is easily reached by car. Arezzo, Lucca, Siena, Pisa, Certaldo, Volterra, San Gimignano and many other Tuscan cities of art are within short driving distance, as well.
A golf club and a tennis club are a few kilometres from the property.


Accommodation

The two-storey building can accommodate 10 guests in 2 twin bedrooms and 3 double bedrooms, and has 3 bathrooms and 1 half bathroom.

On the ground floor are the kitchen, the dining area with fireplace, the living room with fireplace, a bathroom with shower and a half bathroom.
The first floor composes of two twin bedrooms, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a bathtub and one with a shower).

The villa comes with swimming pool, barbecue, fireplace, TV set, DVD player, Internet connection, freezer, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and cot bed.
A parking lot is near the villa.
A domestic help is available upon request.
