Farmhouses

The farmhouse (sleeping 7) stands in panoramic position on a hill between the valleys of the rivers Merse and Ombrone, in Maremma, at the border between the provinces of Grosseto and Siena. A 60-hectare forest inhabited by a varied wildlife surrounds the building.

About 1 kilometre from the farmhouse are Petriolo`s spas. Dating back to the 13th century, these establishments are well renowned for their hot and highly therapeutic waters. In the past, important personalities of Tuscan political and cultural life, including numerous members of the Gonzaga and Medici families and Pope Pius II, attended Petriolo`s thermal baths.

The building opens onto a magnificent panorama made of olive groves and country houses, at the background of which rise the village of Pari and the mount Amiata. In the wide lawn in front of the building are a shed with table and chairs, the private swimming pool (8x4 m), a porch with oven, table and chairs and a brick barbecue. NExt to the oven is a summer kitchen.

The comfortable house (equipped with fireplace, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric oven, American-style coffee maker, Internet connection, satellite TV with SKY decoder for watching free channels - possibility of using the guests` own card - and ironing equipment) composes of two units. In case of need, guests can contact two people living nearby.

The rented apartment (3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) is on two floors and consists in a loggia-entryway, a large and fully equipped kitchen, a wide living room with fireplace, a gym/laundry room, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a bedroom with a double and a single bed, a bathroom with washing-basin, WC and bidet and two bathrooms with shower.
