Luxury Villas

The castle (12 sleeping accommodations) stands in the heart of Empoli countryside, about 30 kilometres from Florence. The building is right at the centre of the so-called Corte d`Elsa, which has been renowned since the 8th century as the seat of the Lombard signory including Certaldo and Castelfiorentino. The castle, the brick tower and the ramparts of which can still be admired, was built in 1210 along the via Francigena, the route the pilgrims coming from northern Europe used to go to Rome, and belonged to the Counts Alberti until the 17th century. The castle was then transformed into an aristocratic villa. The villa is surrounded by a gorgeous terraced park overlooking the Tuscan countryside: the famous San Gimignano towers are to be seen in the distance. In the lower terrace there are the swimming pool (10x5 m) and a porch. Next to the villa stands the lemon-house, which has been transformed into a living room.

The castle is provided with all comforts (Jacuzzi in four bathrooms, air conditioning, heating system, satellite TV, phone, computer with ADSL Internet connection, washing machine, dish washer, weekly linen change).

A cooker and the shopping service are available upon request. Maid service three hours six days a week.

The villa (5 double bedrooms and 6 bathrooms) spreads out over two floors.
The ground floor consists in two large living rooms with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, sumptuous dining room with fireplace opening onto the garden, library with fireplace, computer, fax and Internet connection, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and 1 toilette.
The first floor composes of 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower (one of the bedrooms features a fireplace and opens onto a balcony overlooking the courtyard)), 2 twin bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (one with Jacuzzi and shower and the other with bathtub and shower) and ironing room.
The tower (1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom) standing next to the villa is divided into living room, 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower. Panoramic balcony on the roof.
