The elegant villa stands in panoramic position in Empoli countryside, in Certaldo, a small town in the province of Florence renowned for having given birth to Giovanni Boccaccio.

Skilfully renovated and furnished with antiques, the building is surrounded by 90 hectares of land covered with vineyards and olive groves. The private swimming pool (12.5x6.5 m; depth: 1-2.5 m) situated in the fully fenced wide garden has a dressing room and a bathroom with shower. A pavilion with a bar, a table for having meals al fresco and the laundry room are at guests` disposal in the garden. The villa features also a private chapel.

Those who love history and art can visit the nearby medieval villages of Linari and Sant`Appiano. Petrognano is just a few kilometres from the vacation villa: the village is what remains of Semifonte, an ancient town destroyed by the Florentines in 1202. Florence, Siena, the whole Chianti region, Volterra, San Gimignano and Colle Val d`Elsa are within easy car reach for pleasant one-day trips.

Sporty guests who want to keep fit can visit the riding stable and the tennis club within a few kilometres from the estate.


Accommodation

The two-storey building sleeps 13 people in 4 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms and 1 single bedroom, and has 4 bathrooms.

The ground floor composes of kitchen, dining table with fireplace, large living room with dining area, small library, two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

On the first floor there are the billiard room, a living room with fireplace, two double rooms (one with ensuite bathrooms with shower), two twin bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom with shower), a room with a French-size bed and a bathroom with bathtub.

The living room on the ground floor has a direct access to the garden.

The villa is equipped with swimming pool, barbecue, working fireplace, satellite TV, Internet connection, cot bed, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and private car parking place.
In case of need, guests can contact the keeper responsible for the maintenance of the villa.

A restaurant and a grocer`s are in Bagnano (1 km).
Shops and services of any kind are in Barberino Val d`Elsa (5 km).
A riding stable is within 2 kilometres and a tennis club is within 5 kilometres from the villa.
