The farmhouse (10 beds), which has recently been renovated maintaining the original beamed ceilings, terracotta-tiled floors and brick archways, leans against a hill between Montepulciano and Pienza, in Val d`Orcia, in the province of Siena. A magnificent terraced garden surrounds the farmhouse, which commands the typical Tuscan hills, covered with olive groves, vineyards, pines and cypresses. The farmhouse is provided with a private swimming pool, situated on the upper terrace, where there is also a paved and partially covered area equipped with sunloungers, table sitting eight people and built-in kitchen unit with barbecue, sink and fridge. Provided with all comforts (dishwasher, washing machine, satellite TV with DVD player, heated towel rails, Internet connection, heating system and ceiling fans in the bedrooms), the farmhouse is an excellent starting point for trips to San Quirico d`Orcia, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, the abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore and Siena, of course. Many trekking paths surround the property, for pleasant hikes and horse and bicycle rides. With their spas, Bagno Vignoni and Chianciano Terme lie just a few kilometres from the farmhouse. Possibility of flying over the area with a hot air balloon.
The farmhouse (5 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) follows the slope of the hill and is composed of the two-storey main house, an annexe and a mini-apartment. The ground floor of the main house is divided into a fully equipped kitchen, a living/dining room with fireplace, a larder and a TV room. A staircase in the larder leads down to an unusually round living room. The first floor composes of a living room with pietra serena fireplace, small study with Internet connection, 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom with two basins, shower and bathtub) and 1 bathroom. The annexe is divided into 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower. The mini-apartment consists in a living room with kitchenette, 1 bedroom with two single beds and 1 bathroom.
