Description
The farmhouse stands in an estate of about two hectares near Montevarchi, in Valdarno, at the border between the provinces of Arezzo, Florence and Siena. The Chianti region, Arezzo, Florence, Siena and the Crete Senesi region, Pienza and Cortona are easily reached by car. A few kilometres from the estate are several outlet shops.
The house, which was originally a typical Tuscan barn, stands 600 metres above sea level on a hill and enjoys a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside. The owners themselves have restored the ancient furniture of the house.
Guests can freely stroll in the oak wood and in the olive grove that surround the building and pick chestnuts and fruit; they can also participate in the olive harvest.
The private swimming pool (3x8 m; depth: 1.20 m) that lies about 15 metres from the house is open from May to September. The pool side is furnished with deck chairs and sun loungers.
In the patio furnished with tables and chairs are the darts and barbecue equipment.
Accommodation
The tow-storey building sleeps 3+2 people in 1 triple bedroom and 1 double sofa bed, and has 2 bathrooms.
On the ground floor are the living room with kitchenette, a sitting room with a double sofa bed, and a bathroom with shower.
The first floor is divided into a bedroom with a double and a single bed, and a bathroom with shower.
A cot bed can be added in the sitting room upon request.
Facilities and Services
The farmhouse is provided with private swimming pool, barbecue, darts equipment, table-football table, washing machine, cot bed, two mountain bikes and private car park.
Lunches, dinners and cooking lessons are organized upon request.
A cafe, a food shop and the post office are in Moncioni (3 km).
Shops and services of any kind are in Montevarchi (10 km) and San Giovanni Valdarno (15 km).
On Saturdays, in the morning a weekly street market is held in San Giovanni Valdarno historic centre.
