The Typical Food in the Mugello Region



A holiday in the Mugello countryside is all yours to savour. Tuscany is already world famous for the way in which its territory, culture and typical products that made its tradition are deeply connected. The Mugello area in particular offers extremely valuable food farming products in all the seasons of the year, the most important of all the Marradi chestnut, acknowledged as PGI (Protected Geographic Indication). And what about oil, honey, truffles, mushrooms and cheeses?

A farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside of the Mugello is no doubt a perfect starting point for a food tour of the whole region.

Since a lot of the typical products are decidedly autumnal, it could be a perfetc idea to explore the territory right in this unusual season for holidays, the fall, so to discover it in all its genuinity, with no tourists around and lit up by the warm fall colours of the Mugello woods and countryside.
