Florence - Santa Maria Novella and its Neighbourhood: Palazzo Corsini
Palazzo Corsini - Via del Parione 11
In 1649, the Medici family sold
Palazzo Corsini to the Corsini family. At that time, the Corsini were gaining importance in Florence: Lorenzo Corsini became Pope with the name of Clement XII.

Palazzo Corsini
The Corsini family began the works for the façade, which lasted until 1735. The distinctive element of the
Palazzo is the corkscrew staircase in the inside, that the Florentine call "lumaca"(snail).
