The Church of Badia Fiorentina is a Benedictine Church founded by Willa, the mother of Ugo of Tuscany. The church was enlarged in the XIV century and it was restored by Matteo Segaloni in 1625. Here it is possible to see famous paintings like the masterpiece of Filippino Lippi " The Apparition of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernardo" or "The Ascension" of Vasari. In the church there is also the tomb of Ugo, the Marquis of Tuscany. Dante passed a big amount of time in this church because he lived near it.
