Impruneta Museums - Museum of the Treasure if the Church of Santa Maria
Museum of the Treasure if the Church of Santa Maria in Impruneta

Church of Santa Maria (Impruneta)
Established in 1987 as a result of the co-operation of various institutions (the Municipality, the Curia and Florence Superintendencies), the museum preserves a treasure of inestimable value made of golden vases, candlesticks and reliquaries: ex-votos given to the Madonna of Impruneta from the 14th to the early 20th century by members of the Medici family and of other Florentine patrician families, by the guilds and by other Florentine organisations.
In 1990 a section dedicated to miniated codes has been opened to the public. The codes are part of the liturgical heritage of the church of Santa Maria and date back to the 14th-16th centuries.
